The third-storey workroom
The room exists because narrative work needs a physical place where messages can be spread, marked, and left to dry. Kelantan Road was chosen for the Jalan Besar quarter — close to printers and framers who still understand paper stock, far enough from the financial district that visitors arrive intending to stay for a morning.
We are not a print shop selling runs to the public. The press against the wall is ours alone — a discipline borrowed from letterpress culture and applied to campaign creative. When we say ink meeting paper, we mean the moment you see whether language holds its edge under reading aloud.
Visitors should expect a table, not a theatre. Bring the messy folder. Leave with written scope.

The building sits among shophouses where five-foot-way columns still cast striped shade by mid-morning. Rowell Road and Petain Road are a short walk — useful reference points when directing taxi drivers. Jalan Besar MRT is the nearest station; buses along Kelantan Road stop within a few metres of the door.
Inside, the floor is a single open room with the long table as its spine, pinned boards on the north wall, the drying rack by the window where timber shutters control the light. Kitchener Road traffic is audible but not intrusive — a reminder that the city continues while a paragraph is being rewritten.

Jalan Besar quarter
Kelantan Road sits among streets named for historical figures and trades — Jalan Besar, Kitchener Road, Rowell Road, Petain Road — each carrying shophouse rows with five-foot-way shade. The studio chose the quarter for printers, framers, and stationers who still speak paper weights fluently. Lunch walks pass coffee shops that open early for market suppliers; visits feel embedded in a working city, not a campus park.
The third storey keeps street noise low. Shutters control glare on screens and proofs alike. Portrait sessions for leadership happen here rather than in a hired boardroom because the background reminds participants that narrative work is material — it occupies space and time.
We host APAC calls with the same table cleared and the same folio clips visible on camera when clients prefer continuity. Time zones are handled by written pre-reads so live hours stay short and decisive.
