Marginalia · questions at the margin
Notes pinned beside the folio
Scene: pencil marks in the margin of a proof page — questions too practical for a deck. Problem: agencies hide process behind portals; you need plain answers. Method: accordion entries you can read in any order. Deliverable: clarity on scope, not a sales conversation.
How is a campaign engagement structured?
Campaign seasons follow the architecture map — channels named, roles written, sign-offs scheduled. Weekly proof passes end with something on paper. Launch runs compress the same discipline into daily checks. Nothing begins without a first-run note.
What does the first month look like?
The first month is reading and marking. Narrative frame and hierarchy before art direction. You receive proof pages, not finished ads. Stakeholders read hung sheets on a shared schedule rather than ad hoc Slack threads.
Who checks the work before it goes out?
The creative director signs hierarchy and direction; the writer signs copy craft; your named approver signs channel fit. Production supervision schedules those signatures — verbal OK is not recorded as approval.
Do you work with existing agencies?
Yes. We often sit upstream of media and design partners, supplying narrative frame and architecture they can execute. Handover conventions are written in the first-run note so files arrive in the format partners expect.
Can engagements cover APAC teams outside Singapore?
Most sessions happen in the Kelantan Road room or over documented video calls with the same folio shared beforehand. Written deliverables are timezone-neutral; live reads are scheduled in SGT with advance notes for other regions.
What should we bring to a first reading?
Every customer-facing sentence you currently publish — site, app store, deck, onboarding, support macros if policy allows. Competitor pages you respect. A list of words legal counsel has flagged. Paper is welcome; PDFs must be searchable.
How are revisions handled?
Revisions are marked on proof pages with date and initials. Major shifts restart at wet state — we do not silently edit dry copy. Scope changes that add channels or surfaces are written as a folio addendum before work continues.
Is there a minimum engagement length?
First readings are one day. Narrative builds need at least six weeks to dry properly. Shorter requests are redirected to first reading or advisory seat shapes rather than compressed campaign seasons.
Where should privacy requests be sent?
Email [email protected] with the subject line Privacy request. Postal delivery to the Kelantan Road address is accepted during desk hours. We respond within the timelines stated on the privacy notice.
How do we visit the studio?
Write to [email protected] with proposed times. Visits are by appointment so the table stays clear for active engagements. Directions and particulars are on The Counter page — there is no booking widget.

Ask the practical question first.
